Taxi Sceaux → Orly

Sceaux is a commune of 20,000 residents renowned worldwide for the Parc de Sceaux, a 181-hectare masterpiece of landscape design by André Le Nôtre, created in the 17th century for Colbert, finance minister to Louis XIV. The estate, a classified historic monument, features a 19th-century rebuilt château housing the Musée de l'Île-de-France, the Orangerie, and the Pavilion of Dawn with paintings by Charles Le Brun. Each April, the park's Japanese cherry trees draw tens of thousands for the Hanami celebration — a photographic phenomenon that has become unmissable in the Paris region, with lawns filled with picnickers under clouds of pink and white blossoms. Sceaux is equally famous for Lycée Lakanal (founded 1885), one of France's most prestigious preparatory schools. The RER B connects to Paris in 20 minutes, but for reaching Orly with luggage, the taxi is the most efficient option: 15 minutes, no changes, fixed fare.
