Périgueux is the prefecture of the Dordogne and capital of Périgord Blanc. After Mussidan, you enter the Isle valley. Exit 15 'Périgueux-Centre' puts you 5 minutes from the cathedral. The journey is pleasant and uncrowded outside holiday returns.
