Two main routes are then available. The first, via exit 36 (Le Muy), takes the D25 then D558 through Provence vineyards and the villages of Sainte-Maxime and Le Plan de la Tour before reaching Saint-Tropez via the gulf coastal road. The second uses exit 38 (Fréjus/Saint-Raphaël) and follows the coast via the D98A through Sainte-Maxime. In summer, access to the Saint-Tropez peninsula is often congested, especially on Saturdays. The driver will choose the smoothest route based on real-time traffic. The final stretch runs along the magnificent Gulf of Saint-Tropez with views of pine-covered hills.
