Taxi Langres → Dijon

Langres is one of France's finest fortified cities, with 3.5 km of remarkably preserved ramparts offering panoramic views across the plateau and, on clear days, to the Jura and Vosges mountains. It is the birthplace of Denis Diderot (1713-1784), the Enlightenment philosopher who directed the Encyclopedie. His statue on Place Diderot was sculpted by Bartholdi, creator of the Statue of Liberty. The Marne river rises just 10 km south at Balesmes-sur-Marne. Langres AOP cheese, with its distinctive hollow top, is a local delicacy. There is no train station in Langres itself, making the taxi the most practical option for reaching Dijon in just one hour.
