An approved medical taxi is a taxi that has signed an agreement with the CPAM (French Primary Health Insurance Fund). It is authorized to provide reimbursed medical transport.
Coverage conditions
To receive reimbursement, you need a medical transport prescription (PMT) issued by your doctor. This prescription is required for:
- Hospitalization (admission and discharge)
- Regular treatments (chemotherapy, dialysis, physiotherapy)
- Specialized consultations over 150 km away
- Summons by a medical advisor
Reimbursement rates
Reimbursement is 65% by health insurance. The remaining 35% is covered by your supplementary insurance (if you have one). For ALD (Long-Term Condition), reimbursement can reach 100%.
