Taxi Cassis → Aix-en-Provence

This route connects two Provençal treasures. Cassis offers the Calanques National Park, Cap Canaille (France's highest sea cliff at 394 m), a charming pastel harbour and its famous AOC white wine — the oldest white wine appellation in Provence (1936). Frédéric Mistral, Nobel laureate, said: "He who has seen Paris but not Cassis has seen nothing." Aix-en-Provence awaits with the magnificent Cours Mirabeau avenue, Cézanne's preserved studio on the Lauves hill, the Sextius thermal baths, calisson sweets, and the world-renowned Aix Festival (opera and classical music each summer). Mont Sainte-Victoire, painted over eighty times by Cézanne, dominates the northeastern horizon.
