This spectacular road passes through deep gorges with red rock walls, under tunnels carved into the rock and alongside the Cians torrent. After the gorges, the road climbs to Beuil then reaches Valberg in a few hairpin bends. The entire route follows departmental roads with no tolls. In winter, the road is regularly cleared but conditions can be challenging in the gorges during heavy snowfall or frost.
