From Marseille, take the A50 towards Toulon. The motorway passes through the Joliette tunnel then runs along Marseille's southern districts. After Aubagne and La Ciotat, take exit 11 'Bandol / Sanary'. The descent to Bandol takes 5 minutes via the D559. The route is simple and direct. Alternatively, the coastal road (D559) via Cassis and La Ciotat offers sublime scenery along the calanques but adds 30 minutes. Wine lovers can request a detour via the Bandol wine route, between Le Castellet and La Cadière-d'Azur.
