Paris CDG taxi prices: official fares, day, night and Sunday

|5 min read

Taxi fares Paris – Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG)

Planning a trip to or from Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport? Here's everything you need to know about the official taxi fares between Paris and CDG in 2026.

The official flat rate

Since 2016, a prefectural decree sets a flat rate between Paris and Parisian airports:

  • Paris → CDG (Right Bank): €56
  • Paris → CDG (Left Bank): €65

These prices are fixed and identical day and night, weekdays and Sundays. No luggage surcharge, no extra fees.

When does the flat rate apply?

The flat rate applies for any trip between central Paris and CDG airport. It does not apply if:

  • Your departure or arrival is in the suburbs (standard meter applies)
  • You take a taxi from the airport stand to a destination outside Paris

Night and Sunday rates

Good news: the flat rate doesn't change at night or on Sundays. Unlike the standard meter which applies rate C (night) or D (Sunday), the flat rate remains identical.

Comparison with other transport modes

Taxis offer the best comfort/price/time ratio, especially when traveling in groups (the flat rate is per ride, not per person).

Frequently asked questions

Does the Paris — CDG flat rate change at night or on Sundays?

No, and that is the whole point of the flat rate: the amount is the same at three in the morning as at noon on a Tuesday. Only the bank of the Seine changes the price, the right bank being cheaper than the left. That is exactly the difference with a metered ride, where the night and Sunday rates push up the price per kilometre. Luggage is included in the flat rate.

Does the CDG flat rate apply from the suburbs?

No, it applies only between the airport and Paris proper. A pick-up in Saint-Denis, Aubervilliers or Le Bourget falls outside the perimeter: the ride goes back on the meter, with the pick-up charge, the per-kilometre price of the applicable rate and any empty return leg.

How long should you allow between Paris and CDG?

Allow forty-five minutes in light traffic, and up to an hour and a half at peak times or on the eve of holiday departures. For a long-haul flight, a pick-up three hours before take-off leaves enough margin, two hours being enough for a domestic flight with no hold luggage.
