The Sainte-Catherine church, entirely built in chestnut wood by ship carpenters in the 15th century, is France's largest wooden church. The 17th-century salt warehouses, the cobbled lanes of the Enclos quarter and dozens of art galleries perpetuate this unique town's artistic calling.
