La Plagne, created in 1961 as part of France's Plan Neige, has become one of the world's most visited ski resorts, welcoming over 2.5 million skier-days per season. Comprising 11 villages and sites from 1,250 to 2,100 metres altitude (Plagne Centre, Plagne Bellecôte, Plagne Villages, Belle Plagne, Plagne 1800, Aime 2000, Plagne Soleil, Montalbert, Montchavin, Les Coches and Champagny-en-Vanoise), La Plagne offers a uniquely diverse range of atmospheres. The resort's own area covers 225 km of runs for all levels, and access to the Paradiski domain via the Vanoise Express brings the total to 425 km. The resort is also famous for its Olympic bobsleigh track, built for the 1992 Albertville Olympics and open to the public for bob-raft descents. The taxi transfer from Lyon is ideal for large families who appreciate door-to-door service without managing rail connections and children's equipment. TaxiNeo offers spacious vehicles with child seats on request.
